For whom is this procedure indicated?

Patients who experience intolerable or persistent symptoms despite optimal medical treatment.

Patients with coronary blockages or high-risk characteristics of a complete obstruction, myocardial infarction or sudden death.

When the arterial narrowing is greater than 75%. The affected arteries will be evaluated by the interventional cardiologist to make the decision to perform this procedure.
- Patients with extensive coronary artery disease or left coronary artery trunk, these cases will be individualized and the physician performing the study will decide which procedure to follow, which might be stent placement, surgery or continue with medical treatment.
