Cardiac stimulation refers to the placement, control and adequate programming of:

Pacemakers: Devices that are placed when the heart beats are slow or when there are pauses or blockages that may compromise the patient’s life.

Defibrillators: Devices that perform the functions of the pacemaker and recognize potentially malignant arrhythmias and send an electric shock directly to the heart trying to return it to its normal rhythm.
. - Resynchronizers: Devices that perform the functions of a peacemaker and defibrillator and improves the movement of the heart muscle that results in a stronger contraction and therefore a clinical improvement of the patient.
IMPORTANT: The adequate and regular control of these devices optimizes their functionality, even increasing the average life of the generator (battery) of the device. Unless otherwise indicated by your treating physician, we recommend a pacemaker clinic evaluation once a year.
