Cardio Care offers ntritional care to reduce risk factors through a healthy lifestyle that promotes proper food selection, preparation and consumption as well as through adequate physical activity.
In 2010, Cardio Care, integrated the nutritional element to promote every day care of patients with different heart conditions. Thus, Cardio Care, joins the Global Strategy for Diet, Physical Activity and Health proposed by the World Health Organization. The objectives are: to promote health and to prevent and control communicable diseases, chronic health problems, especially among the poor and disadvantaged population. It helps reverse adverse trends and risk factors for common chronic diseases, and also prevents premature death and avoids disabilities resulting from major chronic diseases (1).
Nutritional care in Cardio Care reduces risk factors through a healthy lifestyle that promotes the proper food selection, preparation and consumption as well as through adequate physical activity.
The nutritional care plan includes a regular assessment, diagnosis and nutritional treatment of the patient’s nutritional status and present condition; the plan requires several regular sessions to encourage a healthy lifestyle. The diagnosis of nutritional condition is made through medical, clinical, dietary, biochemical and anthropometric evaluation. A proposal with specific objectives and commitments is submitted to you for review. This will serve as the basis for the followig sessions and will determine the nutrition, diet and exercise plan. An appointment is required. Please call our PBX 2313 9999, and we will be very glad to assist you.
